North American Lumber is a growing, privately owned company specializing in Retail Building Material Sales in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and. Ontario. Reporting to the Branch Manager and working closely with customers and fellow team members, we have an immediate need for a Yard Supervisor at our Weyburn branch.
Duties will include assisting customers, loading building materials such as lumber, siding, fasteners, etc. onto the customers vehicle or into the North American Lumber vehicle, strapping and securing loads, delivering and unloading of building materials at the customers request. As the supervisor you will be responsible for directing the work of 2-4 additional employees, as well as scheduling deliveries and pickups.
Candidates need to be organized, honest, reliable, and customer-focused. Must have a valid drivers license with a clear drivers abstract as well as previous experience driving forklifts and a current forklift license. Must have own Steel Toed Boots.
Ability to work with little supervision and lift heavy loads continuously through the day. Previous experience driving cube vans, 3 ton trucks, and forklifts required. A background in construction and/or retail sales would be an asset.
