Description

An experienced Payroll Administrator is sought for a Full Time permanent position based in North Battleford, Sk.  Reporting to the Finance Director, the Payroll Administrator prepares and processes payroll bi-weekly for approximately 50 salaried employees. In addition this position is also responsible for maintaining and updating personnel filed for all employees.
Duties & Responsibilities

Preparing and processing biweekly payroll with data entry in Quick books, processing through direct deposit.
Ensuring that all payroll remittances are completed accurately and within deadlines.
Preparing reports as required and maintaining accurate employee information records.
Preparing all year end reports, including annual vacation leave allocations and issuing T4"s.
Issuing Roe's and all other payroll related records.
Providing customer service for day-to-day payroll issues.
Works closely with Human Resources
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will be motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to quickly develop and understanding of payroll functions and be able to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential in this position.

The successful candidate requires an accounting diploma or the equivalent obtained through training and experience.
Minimum two (2) years' experience in an accounting and/or payroll environment.
Excellent computer and keyboarding skills are required.
Experience in working for a First Nation organization will be considered an asset.
Ability to speak Cree and/or Saulteaux would be considered an asset
