We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work within the Post Secondary Program. Under the general direction of chief and council the coordinator will manage and administer the Post Secondary Support Program in accordance with established policy and AANDC guidelines
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma from recognized institution in administration, Education, Social Services, Career Counseling or other relevant diploma & one year related experience or equivalent combination of education & training
- Ability to formulate and administer a program budget
- Counseling skills an asset
- Advanced computerized record keeping skills and competent in MS Word & Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, coordinating and planning skills
- Strong knowledge of requirements of educational intuitions and funding programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Proven ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative
- Working knowledge in administrative procedures regarding education funding
- Reliable transportation with a valid class 5 licence
- Willingness to complete a criminal record check and oath of confidentially
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of the Post Secondary Program
- Day to day operations and management of the program
- Liaison and information channel for the Chief and Council on Post Secondary matters
- Manage the appeal process
- Other duties as assigned
