Description

We have an immediate contract opening for a:

Tank Farm Operator  Seasonal

Located in Regina, SK and reporting to the Tank Farm Operator, you will be responsible to control the raw material receipt, unloading, storage, and the supply of bulk materials to the Regina Production Facility. You will be expected to perform the bulk handling functions for both road and rail in a safe timely manner in accordance with Federal and Provincial Environmental Health and Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities:

Utilizing the Production Schedule to forecast raw materials required for the upcoming production campaign and ensures existing materials are on site.
Coordinate the placement and removal of +/- 1000 bulk tank trucks, isotainers, and railcars annually with external transport, inter-modal, and railroad companies.
On site heating of products and unloading into compatible storage tanks ensuring product availability to meet Production and Marketing objectives.
Coordinate the controlled use of storage tanks and pumps including the timing and rotation of raw materials stored within the tanks.
Assist in the correct documentation, physical handling, and control of waste.
High emphasis on the need to operate in a safe and responsible manner.
Assist in inventory management and control in relation to raw bulk materials.
To perform as a back-up in the daily operational requirements of the Receiving Dept.
High School Diploma or equivalent is a must.
Proven ability to work independently as well as contribute to a dynamic team.
Previous experience in Tank Farm Operations, Warehousing, Material Handling, and Distribution will be considered an asset.
Understanding of the SAP Operating System, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel would be an asset
