The Senior Technical Specialist will be responsible for planning and coordinating the design, installation, and connectivity of the organizational corporate network infrastructure components and systems to ensure stable operations of information systems assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all new and existing hardware, software and communication services. The Senior Technical Specialist will direct the activities of projects to enhance the communication infrastructure and provide technical leadership to other members of the Data Communications team.
The successful candidate will have a university degree in Computer Science or a two-year Computer Science diploma, plus eight or more years of related network management and support experience. Preference will be given to candidates with Cisco CCNA & CCNP certifications and the CIPS I.S.P designation.
Applicants with less experience may be considered for a Technical Specialist or Technical Analyst position with the intention of advancing to a Senior Technical Specialist after training, experience and performance requirements are met.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
