Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is the national synchrotron research facility on the University of Saskatchewan campus. Visiting researchers (users) from academia, industry and government institutions come to the CLS to explore the nature and structure of molecules. The CLS arranges accommodation for its researchers at its Residence on campus and we are currently seeking a friendly and self-motivated individual to fill the following casual position, which is available to start immediately.
Responsibilities:
All aspects of cleaning and disinfecting guest rooms and common areas, stocking rooms and communicating with fellow team members.
Report any maintenance defects.
Ensuring quality in all aspects of this position.
On-Call meeting guests who arrive on evenings or weekends to provide them with their check-in package or respond to any guests queries during their stay.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications required:
Must be a mature individual who is able to work independently with little supervision.
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills and be a team player
Must be physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects
Must be available to work within the 7-day work week as scheduled and as business volume dictates.
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience would be an asset
Excellent organizational, time management and processing skills
