Provide Family Physician services to the predominantly Aboriginal communities in the Keewatin Yatthe Regional Health Authority (Ile a la Crosse, Beauval, Buffalo Narrows, Dillon and Patuanak)
Northern Medical Services physicians are active participants in health care delivery to areas where your contribution can be significant; the practice of medicine challenging and dynamic; the land is truly beautiful; and the exposure to aboriginal culture profound. Our physicians gain excellent experience in both primary and secondary care and can be very involved in community health initiatives. Physicians work closely with nurses and other service providers to meet the specific needs of each community. Physicians are paid either a salary or stipend to enable you to provide the highest quality medicine you can offer. Continuing Professional Development is actively supported. Similarly vacation or leave time is provided to offer you the chance to recreate and achieve a healthy work life balance. Many of our physicians divide their time between northern recreational activity and travel for greater cultural exposure. Both are achievable.
