Description

DUTIES:
The Admin Support 2 attends the gate at the landfill, directing vehicles in an orderly manner, to ensure accident prevention; screens waste disposal to the proper areas; and enforces posted rules (i.e. no smoking, etc.). The Admin Support 2 will operate the public weigh scale and administer cash transactions.  Other duties may be assigned.

This position does involve shift work:
- Winter schedule:  6 days on & 8 days off
          Monday  Friday:  7:45 am-5:15 pm
          Saturdays:  8:45 am-5:15 pm
- Summer schedule :  7days on & 7days off
          Monday:   7:45 am- 7:15 pm
          Tuesday  Friday: 7:45 am-5:15 pm
          Saturday:  7:45 am-5:15 pm
          Sunday:  11:45 am- 5:15 pm

QUALIFICATIONS:
neat in appearance
proficient written and oral communication skills
demonstrate good customer service
able to communicate effectively with the public in a tactful manner
proficient computer literacy
experience with cash handling and ticket taking, in a similar public-use environment is an asset
available to be flexible with scheduling
available to work overtime and be on-call
ability to multitask
ability to work independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
