Competencies:
(1) Bachelor degree in social sciences or a related field with preference being given to candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a managerial role. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
(2) Working knowledge of computer software systems. Specifically, the ability for analysis and evaluation of spreadsheets and databases.
(3) Experience and ability in identifying work process improvement opportunities and in implementing change.
(4) Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a member of a team and the ability to lead and motivate employees.
(5) Strong written and spoken communication skills. Must demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to develop and deliver presentations to a diverse range of audiences.
(6) Demonstrated ability to manage and complete competing priorities in stressful conditions. Experience in project management would be an asset.
(7) Budgeting experience and knowledge of policing are assets.
(8) Must successfully complete security screening.
