Description

The Northeast Regional Intersectoral Committee requires a part time Partnering to End Poverty Coordinator to work with the Northeast Poverty Reduction Task Force. The coordinator will:
-Provide facilitative and administrative support to committees and action groups working with the Northeast Poverty Reduction Task Force.  
-Facilitate integrated planning with the Task Force  
-Coordinate work plan activities including "Poverty Busters"
-Develop communication tools and make presentations on behalf of the Task Force
-Build partnerships and multi- sector participation under the direction of the Task Force
-Work with human services organizations, business, municipal government, faith communities, First-Nations, aboriginal and Metis organizations in northeast Saskatchewan
-Build capacity to lead and sustain poverty reduction initiatives
-Support the Task Force to engage in advocacy
-Monitor progress towards goals of poverty reduction
-Assist with reporting, evaluation and communication of collective impact
-Be accountable to the Task Force and Northeast Regional Intersectoral Committee
-Report to, and be supervised by, the Northeast Regional Intersectoral Committee Coordinator
The ideal candidate will have:
-Strong coordination, planning and organization skills
-Ability to lead/ support a complex project and a diverse team
-Ability to work effectively with government, business, non- profit and community sectors
-Ability to guide, motivate and inspire self and others to take action and share responsibility to achieve desired outcomes
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships
-Competency in computer applications
-A demonstrated understanding and appreciation of the complex nature of poverty
