Description

Reporting directly to the Senior Shaft Technician on site, the primary role of the Junior Shaft Technician is to provide the necessary survey control for the construction and development of all facilities, infrastructure, and excavations, both on the surface and underground, and to complete tasks, assignments and requests from Shaft Superintendent(s)

Minimum of a Post-Secondary diploma or degree from an accredited college, university or technical institution in mining engineering/technology.
- Intermediate level experience with AutoCAD
-  Ability to work as part of a project planning team
-  Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions.
-  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills required, including Microsoft Office
-  Previous surveying experience an asset
-  Underground Mining experience an asset
