Duties:
Operate tractors, tractor drawn machinery, self-propelled machinery and combines to seed, fertilize, spray and harvest crops. Record crop input information. Positive identification of plants, pests and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and machinery. Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to market or storage facilities. Operate augers and grain vacs.
Employment requirements:
Class 1A Drivers license endorsement with clean abstract. Must have verifiable work references and valid identification. Available extended hours and ability to work Monday thru Saturday, April 1st thru November 1st 2015. Must have a working knowledge of operating and monitoring control functions of the following or similar equipment: Caterpillar Challenger 865B track agricultural tillage tractor, Bourgault 3310 air seeder & 6550 cart, Terra Gator, JD S670 series combines, advanced knowledge using JD APEX agricultural software, advanced knowledge and experience using JD 2630 computer displays with harvest documentation (including but not limited to field pre & post calibrations for yield reporting and verifications with Govt. Agencies), advanced knowledge in maintenance and service of JD S series combines.
