Location: Saskatoon, SK Canada
Position Title: Bookkeeper
Duration: 6 8 hours/week (permanent)
Compensation: $25.83/hr
Start date: January, 2015
The Saskatchewan Environmental Society is a non-profit, registered charity, which is seeking an individual to be responsible for the following activities: Primary activities include:
- maintaining financial accounts and budgets and provides financial reporting for SES and all of its projects
- issuance of charitable receipts
- accounts payable
- invoicing and accounts receivable
- investment administration
- banking activities: deposits and reconciliation
- payroll; T4 preparation; WCB reconciliation
- GST reconciliation
- monthly and annual financial statement preparation
- reporting the financial status of the organization to the Treasurer and Executive Director
- assisting the Treasurer and the auditor in the preparation of the annual financial statement and the annual charitable return
The ideal candidate must be proficient in Simply Accounting; have a keen attention to detail; and will be able to work in the SES office at least 4 hours/week, with additional work done either in the office or from home.
Experience working with charitable organizations is a definite asset.
