Description

Working under the direction of a physiotherapist, this position will (1) implement the prescribed physiotherapy plan of care for our 97 long term care residents, (2) provide progress updates and advise on any issues, (3) document care activities and assist with maintaining a safe and resident-centred environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Physiotherapy Assistant diploma required
Occupational Therapy training or experience considered an asset
Foreign training as a physiotherapist would be considered

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience working with older adults who have multiple medical complexities
Familiarity with cognitive decline in adults
Ability to work in a team environment
Computer skills
