Description

The Shipper/Receiver performs a variety of tasks and is responsible for shipping, receiving and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from the organization.  The Shipper/Receiver must load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, such as a forklift.  Other responsibilities will include the inspection of incoming shipments to verify contents and quality and assist in the scheduling of freight appointments.  The Shipper/Receiver must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of incoming and outgoing items.  The Shipper/Receiver works closely with each division in Fortis
