The Hector Thiboutot Community School in Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan is a designated K-12 community school with approximately 496 students. There is professional staff compliment of 38 including two vice-principals supported by paraprofessional, clerical and library staff. Sandy Bay is a community of about 1500 located along the Churchill River system 443 km north east of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
This is a full-time, temporary teaching position to start as soon as possible and end February 20, 2015. The successful candidates must be eligible for Saskatchewan Professional A or Provisional Professional A teaching certification, have courses required to be a non-categorical resource teacher in Saskatchewan and have classes in administering individual standardized achievement tests and in writing personal program plans.
Salary is according to the provincial grid plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a northern living allowance. Moving assistance may also be available.
