Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Environment Division is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide support to Project Managers in the Environmental Remediation Business Unit for a one-year term.
Accountabilities
-Assist Project Managers in drafting and issuing project proposals, request for proposals, tenders, budgets, reports and schedules, as well as preparing meeting minutes
-Administer the management system and SharePoint for the business unit
-Use control tools to track project schedules, budgets and expenditures, statuses and issues
-Write reports, applications for licenses/approvals/permits and management system documents (procedures, plans, work instructions, safe work procedures, etc.)
-Manage the change order process and track all license/approval/permit commitments for regulatory compliance
-Track financials and coordinate payment for invoices
-Communicate with contractors, regulators and project team
-Conduct site inspections
Qualifications
-Environmental science/remediation background preferred
-3-5 years of work experience in coordinating projects in the engineering or construction management fields
-Project Management certification or Canadian Construction Association Gold Seal certification are assets
-Experience in project management practices and tools
Skills
-Strong planning and coordinating skills with the ability to deliver quality work in a team environment
-Strong verbal and written communication and critical thinking skills are essential for this position
-Well organized with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks
-Advanced experience using Excel and Word
-Experience with SharePoint, MS Project and PowerPoint are assets
