MACHINIST (3 Openings)
We currently have openings for entry level or intermediate Machinists. Our Machinists are responsible for operating manual and CNC equipment, which includes the set-up of jigs & equipment and the machining of required parts to specifications and tolerances indicated on production drawings and work orders. Responsibilities also include the care and maintenance of equipment and tools used.
Your Objective:
o Download CNC Programs; set up and operate CNC machines with fixtures and tooling as outlined on set-up sheets.
o Load raw materials and machine parts to specifications and tolerances indicated on shop drawings and blue prints
o Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
o Perform routine preventative maintenance; clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment.

Success Requires:
o Beginner machinists requires:
o Grade 12 with at 1-2 years machining experience or
o Completion of the Machinist pre-employment course from Saskatchewan Polytechnic
o Intermediate machinists requires:
o Progress through with at least 5-7 years machining experience or
o Completion of Level 2 or 3 Machinist Apprenticeship
All Machinist Applicants Require:
o Combination of education and experience may be considered
o Knowledge of machine shop practices, processes and common types of metals and lean manufacturing;
o Ability to use measurement tools; read and work with production work orders, blueprints, and diagrams
o Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills
