Description

To provide childcare services for parents participating in the Young Parent Program at the Rainbow Youth Centre for the Monday shift with possibility of occasional casual hours.

Duties:
Provide childcare for children 0-6 years
Interact with the children and engage them in developmentally appropriate activities
Respond to their physical needs
Assist in housekeeping duties
Interact positively with parents in regards to their children
Maintain supplies and the childcare area
Provide transportation for participants and children via 15 passenger van
Other duties as assigned by Young Parent Program Coordinator

Qualifications
Knowledge of early childhood development
Experience working with children ages 0-6
Experience working in multicultural setting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills
Ability to lift up to 15kg
Valid driver's licence is required (non probationary)
Criminal record check
First Aid/CPR certificate is an asset

Hours of work: Monday 11:00am to 5:00pm  with the possibility of additional hours (Tuesday 11:30am to 5:00pm, Thursday 2:30pm to 8:00pm)
