Operations Manager - Regina Farmers' Market

The Regina Farmers Market is seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic professional to oversee the operations of the organization's business activities. This is a full-time position with a seasonally demanding schedule. Salary range will be $30,000 - $45,000 per annum commensurate with education and experience.

Regina Farmers Market is a family-friendly employer; this position will operate with a flexible schedule from a home office.

Nature of the work:
Reporting to the Board of Directors in collaboration with the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will:

Set up and manage all regularly scheduled farmers markets and special events.
Liaise with and act as the organization's primary contact to stakeholders of the Regina Farmers Market (members of the Cooperative, City of Regina, Regina Downtown, regulatory bodies etc).
Manage all business transactions and finances of the organization.
Ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory requirements.
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance to all market policies and processes.
Act as a resource to and operational lead on behalf of the Board of Directors.
Advise and implement the organization's Strategic Plan.

Qualifications:
A demonstrated passion for local, high quality, artisan foods and products is essential. Three to five years of business management experience is required, with a preference given to experience in a non-profit, volunteer, or cooperative organization environment.

The incumbent must be able to maintain productivity in an unstructured work environment with a flexible schedule, and must work from a home office. The incumbent must be willing to work early mornings, and occasionally evenings in an outdoor environment with unpredictable weather and must be able to lift and carry up to 20kg. The successful applicant must be bondable.
