Description

Reporting to the Manager, Community Investment, the Community Investment Activation Specialist will be responsible for designing, planning, managing and executing best-in-class strategic activation activities, while fostering strong working relationships with new and existing community partners and enhancing the PotashCorp brand.  The successful candidate will collaborate with vendors, as well as internal and external personnel to deliver on PotashCorps community investment activation elements including media and special events, speaking engagements, communications, onsite activations, giveaways, advertising and more. In addition, the Community Investment Activation Specialist will conceptualize, design and prepare various advertisements, posters, web elements and other material.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Public Relations or Communications and a minimum of two years related experience preferably in a community investment or sponsorship role. The incumbent will have a solid understanding of community investment, cause marketing and experiential marketing combined with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.  Experience and comfort with public speaking is required as well as proven knowledge and experience managing events.  Knowledge of graphic design and layout would be an asset.  Similarly, knowledge of PotashCorp, the agricultural, potash or mining industries and a general understanding of contractual agreements and Saskatchewans charitable community would also be considered assets.  

The successful candidate will have a valid drivers license and willingness to travel and work outside normal business hours.  The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check.  All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
