The Water Security Agency, a Treasury Board Crown corporation, ensures sustainable water supplies are available to support growth, a healthy environment and our quality of life.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Dam Operations and Maintenance, an employee in this job will undertake work activities specific to the operation and physical maintenance program at the Rafferty-Alameda Project (RAP) which may include:

Assist in conducting dam operations, physical maintenance and rehabilitation activities, inspections and operational testing of various mechanical, electrical, and industrial components; Operate mobile vehicles and equipment; assist in operation and maintenance of industrial, construction, and maintenance equipment; and fabricate parts using hand/power tools; Assist in completing repairs of concrete structures; perform general labour duties as assigned; and undertake other related work as required.

The successful candidate should possess a Pre-Trade Certificate (Industrial Mechanic) with the knowledge of the methods and procedures required to operate and maintain related infrastructure works and ability to use and repair a variety of applicable trade equipment.

Applicants with the required education but lesser experience are encouraged to apply as they may be considered for an Operations and Physical Maintenance Assistant position.
