This position is essential to SaskPowers basic operations and meets the Saskatchewans government hiring direction.

SaskPower is currently searching for a Greenhouse Technician to provide a variety of office, field and project assignments associated with the construction, modification, maintenance and operation of SaskPowers greenhouse facilities, equipment and infrastructure.

Our ideal candidate has experience in growing, maintaining and monitoring greenhouse crops, identifying irregularities and providing treatment for growth. Experience collecting, processing, summarizing and interpreting data and basic computer skills (MS Windows and Office Applications) are required. The ability to deal with conflict and recommend solutions to difficult situations, including the ability to cooperate with staff and contractors, as well as coordinating multiple assignments and projects is required.

Successful applicants will have certifications, accreditations or exams related to Horticulture, Crop Science, Forestry, Biology or related field and a valid class 5 drivers licence.

Demonstrated competence in innovation, safety, and teamwork is essential.  A combination of education and experience may be considered.
