The Position:
The successful applicant will join one of our project teams developing, testing, and delivering systems that include RF ground stations, satellite monitoring, satellite capacity management, and real-time equipment control. These systems use complex mathematic models, proprietary communication protocols, high-availability/scalable architectures and graphical user interfaces featuring sophisticated real-time updates and complex data visualizations. SED System Engineers / Designers are involved in all phases of SED projects, including capturing customer requirements, performing system design and analyses, performing verification testing, and installing systems at sites located all over the world.
This position will be of interest to candidates with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Engineering Physics. A Masters degree is considered an asset. Applicants must be willing to travel.
Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:
Analysis tools such as Matlab;
Scripting tools such as Python;
Programming languages such as C, C++, or Java; and,
RF test and measurement equipment.
The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program is mandatory.
