DYWIDAG-Systems International Canada Ltd. (DSI) is part of the international DSI Group. DSIs scope of business includes manufacturing and supply of ground support and stabilization products for the mining industry.

DSIs Saskatoon facility is currently looking for an experienced maintenance person who is able to develop and fabricate new equipment as well as maintaining existing equipment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent equipment uptime through preventative maintenance, as well as developing and implementing equipment improvements in fast paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and fabricate equipment to improve manufacturing processes
- Improving equipment reliability and increased capacities
- Commission new equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and repair all manufacturing equipment timely
- Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and regular preventative maintenance of all manufacturing equipment
- Able to work flexible hours as needed to install and upgrade equipment
- Work well in a team environment to solve problems and drive continuous improvement


Qualification and Requirements:
- A variety of hands on experience as a mechanic.  Journeyman/Millwright designation would be considered an asset but not required.
- Experienced with various methods of metal fabrication including welding, cutting, bending and machining.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
- Strong aptitude towards mechanical problem solving
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics would be considered an asset
- Results oriented
- Ability to perform in a fast pace environment with little to no supervision
- Works well others
