Description

We are currently recruiting for a Service Technician on behalf of our client in Saskatoon.  This is a full time permanent job with a company who is the worldwide market leader for agricultural field research with clients expanding across Canada.   We are seeking an experienced Service Technician located at their Saskatoon office that, along with a local team, will be responsible for servicing customers across SK, AB, MB and B.C.  

Key requirements of the Service Technician job include;
- Diagnose, service, repair and maintain agriculture research equipment such as combines and seeders  
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems with experience troubleshoot electronics
- Proficiency at processing paperwork and working within a SAP database
- Valid drivers license is a requirement of employment

This position requires frequent travel and candidates must be able to be responsive to customer needs throughout Western Canada. The position includes use of a company vehicle while traveling, a lap top computer, and a company cell phone.  Travel requirements are approximately 60  90 days yearly, 1 week time periods.  

Qualifications to be successful in this job include;
- Journeyperson / Red Seal Mechanic in the Agriculture or Heavy Equipment Trade.  Automotive, Industrial Mechanics, or Millwrights will also be considered with applicable experience.  
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems is required; those with a advance agriculture and mechanical experience will also be considered without a ticket.
- Experience in the Ag industry is a definite asset
- Must be able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic diagrams
