The Regina Work Preparation Centre (Work Prep) is a nonprofit, charitable, community based organization helping people look for, find, and maintain work. Work Prep is partnering with Carry The Kettle Nakota Nation to deliver a six-week program to help Income Assistance clients 18-24 years of age living on Carry The Kettle find employment and residence in Regina. We are looking for an energetic and creative people-person who will:
Participate in the assessment and recruitment of participants
Ensure the successful delivery of the program
Collaborate with Regina Work Prep staff to help participants obtain employment, housing and other supports in Regina
The successful candidate will:
have strong interpersonal skills and a drive to help people succeed
be results oriented
have a strong understanding of the principles and practices of career and employment services
have a strong understanding of the principles and practices of adult education
be able to develop relationships with adult learners, professional staff, employers, allied agencies, First Nations bands and tribal councils
have a commitment to delivering services that are culturally sensitive and reflect our client demographic and needs
be able to facilitate at Carry the Kettle and Regina program sites
We are looking for the following education and experience:
postsecondary degree or certification in Adult Education, Social Work or a relevant Social Science
minimum two years related experience
combination of education and experience may be considered
valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
able to accommodate work outside of normal business hours

- Collect labour market information for clients regarding job openings and entry and skill requirements
- Assist clients to develop job readiness skills and job search strategies
