PotashCorps Technical Systems group works with IBM AIX, SLES Linux, IBM Power, PowerVM, VMWare, SAN devices, Cisco networking technology, and various monitoring tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of in house applications that will provide improved operations for the Technical Systems group.
The successful candidate will be a student returning to school in the fall and have completed their first year of a degree or diploma in computer science from an accredited university or technical school. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, an understanding of system analysis and design, knowledge of requirements gathering, and experience in Java or .NET programming, and Shell scripting.
Perl programming experience, ability to work independently, and the ability for self learning would be considered assets.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
