Wendland Ag is now hiring Seasonal Yard Maintenance Workers in Cut Knife and Delmas for the 2015 Spring and Summer!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Location Manager and other staff to ensure the equipment, yard and building facilities is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Receive (unload), load and blend fertilizer
Receive (unload) seed and crop protection products.
Load customer pickups at location as well as deliver customer orders directly to farm.
Maintain an inventory of all equipment, tools and machinery.
Perform general cleanup of yard, sheds and shop facilities.
Ensure the maintenance and needed repair of all equipment and machinery is made aware to the Location Manager and completed as quickly as possible.
Read and interpret equipment manuals in order to perform required maintenance and service.
Understand and be proficient in the daily operation of hand and power tools to perform required duties.
Be on the constant lookout for possible workplace hazards and or defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor immediately.
Perform regular property inspections, including sheds, common areas, building exteriors, and landscape.
Maintain outside grounds.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year experience in operations and maintenance in the agricultural industry.
Ability to perform small repairs around the yard, shop and on vehicles and equipment.
Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Valid Class 5 Drivers license is required and a Class 3 or Class 1 with an air (A) endorsement would be a definite asset.
Experience working with Anhydrous Ammonia (NH3) considered a definite asset.
