SUN represents almost 9,000 Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses and Nurse Practitioners across Saskatchewan. A staff of 50 provides comprehensive services and support to members and elected officials seeking to improve working conditions for nurses.
This highly challenging position offers diverse opportunities for a person experienced and knowledgeable in office administration and providing support for individuals working in labour relations and professional practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills, be able to manage shifting priorities and strive for accuracy, promptness and high working standards.
Required qualifications are a Grade 12 diploma, supplemented by a recognized secretarial course. Demonstracted proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment including Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Outlook is required; Microsoft Access would be an asset. Knowledge of the structure and functions of unions and a dedication to trade union principles is preferred.
