Description

Pe-Ta-Pan Preschool Centre Inc. is currently accepting applications for Teacher Associates.  Position will begin with a 3 month probationary period and will run for ten months as a regular school year.  
QUALIFICATIONS:
Early Childhood/Preschool Education
Knowledge and respect of the aboriginal culture and traditions
Desire and ability to work as part of a team striving to achieve the goals/missions of the Aboriginal Headstart Mandate.
Fluent in Cree and/or Mitchif (Metis) Language an asset
Good role model in the community

 - Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities

 - Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers
 - Assist in housekeeping duties
 - Assist in maintaining records of children
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
 - Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
 - Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
 - Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
 - Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
Experience With Children Who Have Special Needs
 - Children with behavioural issues
