4-H Saskatchewan is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant to coordinate our provincial head office. This position is the first point of contact for many inquiries and an integral part of our team.
Accountabilities:
*Receptionist duties including answering phone calls and emails, welcoming in-person visitors to the office, and directing emails, calls and visitors to the correct department.
*General administrative support services such as: processing mail, photocopying, filing, records maintenance, membership database management, data entry, ordering and keeping inventory of office equipment and supplies.
*Packing and shipping 4-H supplies to clubs. (Occasional Heavy Lifting).
*Formal committee work with the staff or Board of Director ( preparing budgets, agendas, taking minutes.)
*Manage Provincial 4-H Supply store including data entry and inventory using Simply Accounting, processing and recording payments, mailing store orders, sourcing new promotional items.
*Arrangements for meetings, travel, and events.
*Additional special projects assigned by Executive Director
Requirements:
* A diploma from a recognized business college or combination of training and experience
* A customer service orientation with strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Three or more years of successful experience in office administration
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Organizational ability and strong follow-through skills
* Criminal record check will be required
* 4-H knowledge or experience is a strong asset
* Small business administration experience, working experience with Sage 50, and experience working with a Board of Directors would be an asset
This is a part-time position (30 hrs/week) located in Saskatoon. Occasional weekend and evening work will be required.
