Description

Touchwood Child and Family Services Inc. requires a Child and Family Services Worker for the Muskowekwan First Nation.

Position Description/Summary:
Child and Family Services Worker reports directly to the Protection Manager.  The primary objective is ensuring the safety & well being of children in care and to work with the families to address identified issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-complete all case-plans, documentation and legal agreements in accordance with the Child and Family Services Act & the Family Centered Services Manual.
-work with families and out of home placements towards safety, well being and permanence of children.
-work closely with local community to facilitate integrated service delivery model.
-make appropriate referrals for specific needs.
-prepare documentation and attend all family services court
  
QUALIFICATIONS
-  BSW/BISW
-criminal/vulnerable sector check; ACI check; drivers abstract
-  Knowledge of First Nation culture.
-  Ability to develop and establish a trusting and strong working relationship with staff, clientele, First Nation communities, and TCFS Inc. interest groups.
-  Effective communication skills; computer literate.
-  Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
-  Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence.
