This is a full-time position which is based in La Ronge. The successful candidate will perform the following duties and will possess the following qualifications:
Duties:
-Assist with providing integrated case management for Employment and Training clients of Woodland Cree Ent. Inc.
-Assist with preparation and monitoring of Community-Based and Summer Student programs/contracts.
-Assist with preparation and monitoring of Employment and Training Worker contracts.
-Assist with monitoring of client action plan budgets and ensure these are kept up-to-date.
-Assist in the preparation of proposals to access other funding and promote partnerships to enhance opportunities for WCEI clients.
-Assist with maintaining computer-based records to keep track of clients? progress.
-Other functions as may be assigned from time-to-time.
Qualifications:
-A combination of life experience, work experience and education i.e. Certificate in Aboriginal Employment Development
-Experience in working with First Nations clients.
-Experience in career counseling
-Experience with and knowledge of the Northern Labour Market
-Possess above-average communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to use computer and above-average ability to use Microsoft Office applications
-Possess a valid drivers license and own a reliable vehicle
-Ability to travel as requested.
-Ability to speak Cree is an asset but not required
