Description

The Lloydminster Interval Home Society is currently seeking a Men's Outreach Worker as part of our Family Violence Outreach Services: Men's Outreach Program.  The Men's Outreach Worker will be responsible to provide information and support services to adult or adolescent males who struggle with abusive behaviors in their personal relationships or who have been impacted by the abuse of others.  Through individual support sessions, the Men's Outreach Worker will assist clients to understand the cycle of violence and help them to develop healthy attitudes, coping strategies and positive relationship skills. A post-secondary education in a Human Service program and a strong working knowledge of family violence would be ideal.  The ability to build rapport with male clients affected by violence is a must.  Excellent communication and computer skills are essential.  Applicants must also possess a valid driver's licence, a clean driver's abstract and have a minimum of 3 years' driving and insurance history.
