Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager and as a part of the Esterhazy terminal team, the Field Safety Coach supports the Paul's Hauling Ltd. terminal operations to uphold safety through conducting work site visits and safety audits, assisting personnel to ensure compliance with safety programs, and coaching employees on internal and external safe work procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform work site inspections to ensure safe work procedures are maintained.
Participate in facility housekeeping audits, reviews, and assessments.
Liaise with supervisors to ensure effective use of best practices and consistency in approach to Paul's Hauling Ltd. work procedures.
Assist shift supervisors in the preparation and delivery of toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Complete daily, monthly, and quarterly internal and external performance reports - measuring against Paul's Hauling Ltd. policies and procedures compliance.
Promote commitment and employee involvement in safe work including monitoring participation in safety observations and fit-for-duty checks.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of Grade 12 education.
Class 1 Drivers License.
A minimum of 3 years experience in the transportation industry.
Understanding Paul's Hauling Ltd. policies and safe work procedures.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
Prior supervisory experience is an asset.
Able to maintain professional appearance and behavior.
