Description

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Corporate Services/Chief Financial Officer the
Horizon School Divisions Superintendent of Operations leads Facilities Services,
Transportation Services and Information Services for the Division. The successful
candidate develops and implements strategies, plans and projects to foster top quality
and forward thinking services to meet the needs of students, schools and communities.
You will provide strategic direction for the above-mentioned services, driving all aspects
of the Divisions strategy and planning, including work with internal and external
partners, and ensuring positive stakeholder relationships.

This is a permanent, full-time position that often involves work outside of regular hours to
ensure that services are functioning and efficiently managed. You will be required to
have an operational knowledge of the infrastructure and facilities within the division.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
-Work with senior management to lead and administer a high level of information
service, support, training and maintenance of all information systems integrated within
Horizon School Division.
-Lead the administration of Transportation services as well as be responsible for its
accurate, efficient and strategic planning, including research, information on
transportation infrastructure, modes and needs within our division.
-Continuous review, monitoring and leadership of critical ongoing facilities improvement
projects, information specific to budgets, timelines and completion to determine if
targets and goals are being met.
-Evaluate current technologies, vendors and future trends in order to
recommend changes within Information services that will have a positive
effect division wide and drive technology and employee efficiency.
