Description

Summary:  The Cook is a support position directly responsible to the Daycare/Headstart Educator with overall accountability to the Education Services Coordinator and the Director of Operations and/or Chief & Council.  He/she will provide nutritious balanced meals on behalf of the Sakimay Daycare and Goose Lake School students in the daycare facility.
A)    Must submit a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check;
B)    Must possess a clear Tuberculosis test;
C)    Must possess certification for First Aide, CPR and WHIMIS and maintain these certifications through the term of employment;
D)    Must possess Safe Food Handling certifications and maintain these certifications throughout the term of employment;
E)    He/She must have the ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision;
F)    He/She must demonstrate the ability to be kind and caring and respectful towards children, their parents and co-workers;
G)    He/She must ensure that confidential matters remain confidential;
H)    Must submit a drug screen prior to commencing employment;
I)    He/She must demonstrate a willingness to acquire additional skills to enhance the quality of service to the children and parents;
J)    He/She must be well organized, punctual, dependable and reliable.
