The Service Technician I performs a variety of duties associated with the installation, operation and maintenance gas system facilities, including the delivery of customer services, in accordance with standards, specifications and accepted industry practices. As a potential first responder, this includes implementing sound decisions in emergency situations.
Qualified applicants will possess:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
Journeyperson Plumber with a General Gas Fitter License
Strong mechanical aptitude
The successful candidates will develop technical skills by successfully completing non-optional specialized service training courses. Frequent travel is required in this position including overnight stays away from headquarters, stand-by and call-out. The successful candidate will be subject to a background check, that includes drug and alcohol testing.
