Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, this position starts as soon as possible; administers the school division housing policy to tenants and provides clerical support to facilities staff:
- Assign housing, set occupancy dates and organize signing of tenancy agreements and conduct move-in/move-out inspections
- Provide tenant orientation for new tenants, i.e. explain agreements, tenant responsibilities, etc.
- Prepare leases for all rental properties leased to outside organizations or individuals
- Assist the facilities clerk with travel expenses, invoices/purchase orders, etc.
- Work closely with the facilities team and AssetPlanner database
- This position involves travel to various communities throughout the eastern half of the Northern Lights School Division
The ideal candidate for this position will possess:
- skill in planning, organizing and managing time across multiple tasks and deadlines
- ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
- self-starter with strong problem solving skills
- proficient computer skills, including the ability to effectively operate word processing and spreadsheet programs
- ability to make good, independent decisions and be able to effectively deal with stress
- ability to deal with sensitive and difficult situations
- willing to engage in learning to meet job requirements
- a valid driver's license and supply own vehicle
Requirements for this position are a Grade 12 education and accurate typing skills. Post-secondary office education diploma or certificate and/or experience with Microsoft Office would be a definite asset.
