AUDIOLOGIST (Location: Yorkton, Saskatchewan)
The Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region, Hearing Health Program, requires a qualified Audiologist for a temporary position until June 2016. The anticipated start date is June 1, 2015.
Job Summary:
This position is the regional full-time Audiologist located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
As the lone audiologist in the respective region, this position is responsible for providing all audiological and technological services to clients, conducting administrative duties, and acting as a resource person to the public and allied professionals. Reports to the Manager of the Hearing Aid Program under Primary Health Care, Population and Public Health Services for administrative and clinical matters.
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Audiology is required.
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (SASLPA).
Three years previous clinical experience (post Masters Degree in Audiology).
Additional Information:
Requires knowledge of all audiological procedures and hearing disorders.
Requires ability to correctly interpret the diagnostic information and make appropriate recommendations for patient management.
Requires organization, communication (oral and written), problem solving/analysis, and interpersonal/public relations skills.
Must have an ability to accept supervision and to work under stress.
Incumbent is required to hold a valid Saskatchewan drivers license. Required to travel to Regina for monthly staff meetings or providing clinical support as needed. Occasional travel to satellite clinics and to Regina for manufacturer inservices or other work related duties.
