The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the Sales and Service team in achieving all RONA service standards along with maximizing sales and gross margin. The successful candidate will have superb interpersonal and customer service skills along with a commitment to achieving business results. The ability to lead, motivate and coach employees in all aspects of sales and service is a must have for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership and coaching for Team Members to ensure every Contractor customer receives superb customer service
Establish and communicate sales objectives and expectations to all Team Members
Organize employee training, development and performance reviews
Build strong and lasting relationships with our retail, professional and commercial customers
Ensure employees and customers are aware of current promotions and financing options (Pro-Ad, RONA Advantage Card/Air Miles)
Lead the Contractor Sales team by example and assist team members where needed
Opening and closing duties in absence of Store manager or Assistant Store Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven leadership capabilities and commitment to managing the performance of others
Ability to motivate, train and coach others to a higher level of success and accountability
Exhibits a sense of urgency with creative problem solving; research and analyze causes, provide an innovative approach to solutions
Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently
respond to employees requests, build relationships and resolve conflicts
Computer literate, able to learn new software and processes
Able to do estimates, take offs and quotes
Mature, responsible with sound decision making skills
Approachable, able to coach other team members and assist in closing sales
Construction or home renovation is an asset
