Kindersley is an active & growing community that serves as the hub for business & recreation in the West Central SK region. We are seeking a full-time Facilities Manager to join our skilled & energetic team.
Reporting to the Director of Community Services or designate, & in partnership with the Manager of Recreation, this position is responsible for the building systems, equipment & materials, & day-to-day maintenance & operation of all Town facilities.
DUTIES
Supervising daily operations & maintenance of all Town of Kindersley facilities & ensuring that all staff have the required skills & certification to safely operate the facilities, systems & equipment.
Implementing, maintaining, & overseeing the preventative maintenance program for Town facilities, systems & equipment in accordance with the Town?s Asset Management Plan.
Assist with policy development & establishing standards & procedures related to physical plant operation, maintenance, & other defined areas of responsibility.
Managing & overseeing maintenance & caretaker contracts.
Enforcing policies regarding the use of Town-owned facilities, the security, safety & cleanliness of each.
Making recommendations on policies and/or purchase of capital items that will serve to improve the operation of all facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary related experience
Ability to effectively training in Recreation Facilities Maintenance or minimum of 2 years
Plan, organize, direct & supervise personnel & contractors engaged in the maintenance & construction of facility projects
Working knowledge of all facilities systems including civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, environmental, hydraulics, refrigeration, chlorination & filtration systems
Ability to deal tactfully & effectively with the general public, elected officials, other Town personnel, businesses, & other outside agencies
Highly developed leadership, management & supervisory skills, including effective oral & written communication.
