THE OPPORTUNITY:
Located at our SAGD thermal project in Senlac, SK (near Unity, SK) & reporting to the Senlac Area Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day operation & activities of our plant.
Responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to the following:
Prioritization of multiple tasks while maintaining effective time allocation
Maintaining knowledge of pertinent government regulations & company policies & procedures, while ensuring adherence at all times
Being proactive & providing support & engagement in all aspects of our Plant Safety Management
Focusing on operating cost reductions & production increases
Responsible for assisting the Senlac Thermal Project's management team to manage day-to-day operation of entire plant
Responsibility for hands-on operation of the various processes & associated equipment components within the plant, including minor maintenance.
Implementing & understanding of safety, environmental & regulatory responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lockout, emergency response, implementing safe work procedures, etc.
Maintaining proper documentation including operator log, maintenance records & safety & environment reports.
As the ideal candidate, you should have part or all of your 3rd class Interprovincial Power Engineering Certification. You will also be a self motivator with a strong work ethic & the ability to work well with minimum supervision.
You will also require:
Valid class 5 driver's licence & abstract
Strong computer skills (MS Office required)
Strong written & verbal communication
Effective time management
