The CAD Operator is responsible for the completion of tank trailer designs from concept to production using AutoCAD, Pro/Engineer and Inventor. This person interprets customer driven specifications to arrive at a design and produce the working drawings for fabrication, must research and apply Canadian and US motor vehicle safety standards, weight laws & ASME codes relating to transportation of dangerous goods. They will review plans and confer with internal stakeholders to meet project specifications, complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets.
The ideal candidates will have a high level of CAD / Autodesk Inventor experience and training.
He/She will have worked in a fabrication or
production environment that has undergone the
transition to 3D. They will have a thorough
working knowledge of the concepts and benefits of
3D modeling.
