The Department of Civil and Geological Engineering of the University of Saskatchewan invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in transportation materials and design at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field. Candidates must also have a PhD in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field and must demonstrate the ability to develop a strong transportation engineering research program focused on pavement and related materials, including design, construction, and long term performance. The successful candidate will be a P.Eng. in Canada or will be eligible to become a P.Eng. in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
The candidate is expected to establish a strong research program through externally sponsored research (e.g., collaboration with local and federal government agencies and consulting engineering firms). The successful candidate is also expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including pavement materials and design and other related areas potentially including engineering economics and asset management.
The appointment will commence July 1, 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter.Salary bands for this post are as follows: Assistant Professor - $90,797 - $109,109; Associate Professor - $109,109 - $127,421 and Professor - $127,421 - $148,785.
