Description

The YWCA Regina is a non-profit organization that exists to support and empower women, children and youth in addressing their diverse needs in the realization of their full potential.

This is a full-time permanent position of 37.5 hours/week which includes one afternoon/evening shift per week.

Under the supervision of the Director of Housing, the Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Residence, Parole Program and Teen Independent Living Program, creating a positive communal environment for the residents and encouraging a healthy team culture amongst program staff that enhances collaboration with a respectful approach to challenging issues.

Responsibilities include:
- Human Resources: Fostering a cohesive and effective staff team that work collectively to support Residents;
- Administration and Accountability: With input and support from the necessary position will coordinate and maintain the policies, systems and processes necessary to ensure the program is operating efficiently and effectively and is achieving desired outcomes;
- Client/Resident Support: Provides front line support to Residents and is actively involved in case planning in addition to supervising the work of program staff.

Qualification:
- Demonstrated experience working with women experiencing homelessness, addictions, mental health challenges, poverty and other complex issues;
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or other related human service field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Experience managing staff;
- Good organization abilities;
- Crisis intervention skills;
- Strong leadership and clear understanding of teamwork;
- Cultural awareness and respect for women of various backgrounds;
- Clear Criminal Record Check
