The Assistant Facility Manager is accountable for the effective and efficient administration of SPH, SPLH, and MDHC Maintenance & Plant Operations, and MDHC Housekeeping & Laundry Departments consistent with the mission, vision, values, policies and procedure of SPH/SPLH/SHR.
In the absence of the SPH Manager, the Assistant Facility Manager provides full coverage of the day to day operations of SPH.
In the absence of the SPLH Manager of Operational Support, the Assistant Facility Manager will provide support for day to day operations.
Experience:
Supervisory experience.
Three to five years experience in building services and /or related field an asset.
Background in Labour Relations considered an asset.
Minimum of one to three years in Healthcare Management is an asset.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
    Catholic Health Care Leadership Certificate (can be acquired following hire)
    Certificate in Health Care Administration
    Human Resources training considered an asset
    Post secondary education (degree/ diploma in business/ commerce is an asset
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    Ability to foster and maintain positive, relationship with medical staff, all departments in the acute care facility, long term facility, and other programs.
    Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
    An understanding and commitment to the vision, mission and values of the region
    Demonstrates knowledge of acute and long term care practices with ability to manage people and resources in the health services environment
    Knowledge of applicable Collective Agreements (SUN, CUPE, HSAS).
