Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Population Health Services the Nutritionist has the responsibility to provide consultative, counseling, teaching and education services to individuals, community groups, health professionals, and other professional groups to promote, protect and support the nutritional health of the population as well as prevent nutrition related disease within the Regional Health Authority (RHA). The Nutritionist will be responsible for providing nutritional support services to two Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Programs.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
- Accredited Dietetic Internship
- Bachelor Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Masters Degree in Nutrition
- Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
- Valid Class 5 drivers license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Interpersonal skills
