The Compliance Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of compliance activities on Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) properties, conservation easements and those lands managed by NCC on a fee for service agreement.
The Compliance Manager will report directly to the Director of Conservation in Regina and will work closely and cooperatively with Natural Area Managers and the Saskatchewan Regional Staff. Externally, the Compliance Manager will work with local landowners, partner organizations, conservation volunteers, funders and others.
1. Compliance
Identify and implement compliance activities as per the natural area conservation plans (NACP) and fee for service agreements;
Review, edit and approve compliance monitoring and annual property reports prepared by field staff;
Resolve complex land management issues and conservation easement violations;
Deliver annual property reports to landowners and partners.
2. Land Stewardship
In collaboration with Natural Area Managers plan and implement stewardship activities on lands managed by NCC on a fee for service agreement.
In collaboration with and in support of Natural Area Mangers engage in stewardship activities on NCC properties and conservation easements where deemed efficient and necessary.
